Attracta started the Awards six years ago from her deep passion for creating beauty. In her own inimitable style she has created a very special beauty industry Awards Ceremony that has beauty at the centre of each decision and design.
Attracta is a highly respected artist in the beauty industry, her combined love of fashion, beauty and art is always reflected in her work. Attracta's work is regularly in the spotlight, gracing the most prestigious glossy magazines to the hottest runways. With a wealth of hands-on experience, Attracta’s extensive knowledge is regularly called upon to be shared in sell-out talks, exclusive masterclasses and magazine features, from Vogue to Harper’s Bazaar, Elle to Vanity Fair, and her modern, elegant look is constantly in demand by editors and art directors across the board. She is a trusted voice of authority, and this has led her to consult and write for leading beauty brands such as Prada Beauty, Bourjois, Bioderma and L’Oréal. Attracta published her first book, 8A, in 2009, and this marked the beginning of Attracta’s mission to champion ‘Slow Beauty’ - a notion that challenges the false reality of airbrushed imagery and embraces the honesty of imperfection; to pause and reflect where we are going in beauty in the days of digital and consumption overload.
Today, Attracta is pioneering a first for the beauty industry: The Attracta Beauty Awards. The first ever to be created by a make-up artist, the awards recognise exceptional beauty brands and provide a platform for promising emerging ones.
